Up close

Every beach hut is photographed individually, head-on, in digital format. Post-capture processing involves selecting the most cohesive collection of beach huts from each location, arranging them in rows on a complementary cream background. The result is a contemporary take on a centuries-old style of picture-making – reflecting both the career and the passions of their creator, Tim Sandall.
